About this compound
GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper complex) is a naturally occurring tripeptide-copper complex first isolated from human plasma, investigated extensively in wound biology, dermatological research, and cellular senescence studies.
Published studies have identified GHK-Cu's role in upregulating collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in fibroblast cultures, and its modulation of matrix metalloproteinase activity in extracellular matrix remodelling. Researchers have characterised its interactions with the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway and its capacity to modulate pro-inflammatory cytokine signalling in macrophage models. Antioxidant defence pathway activation, including superoxide dismutase and catalase expression, has also been documented in the peer-reviewed literature.
